Instructors

JT Grover
Owner
Lead Firearm Instructor
JT started Rev-Tac in 2010 as a part-time passion for preparing both the public and his peers for surviving critical incidents. His 20+ year service to this country has provided real-world experience that translates into success on life's battlefields. He doesn't spend his time in front of you shoving "war stories" down your throat though! One of the largest factors to becoming a Rev-Tac Instructor is that you are humble enough to recognize that your personal experiences aren't for everyone. That's why he has hand-picked some of the best instructors out there that are more than qualified but love teaching your grandma as much as much as they love teaching "cool guys".
As a successful career sniper, JT is currently leading multiple sniper teams for a Airborne Infantry Unit. He has been his sniper team's medic for many years as well as a paid city firefighter/medic for 11 years. JT has multiple deployments in support of the global war on terror, instructing foreign forces, as well as supporting continental US missions from floods to riots. He dabbled in law-enforcement for a few years before realizing that wasn't the direction he wanted to go but remains passionate about preparing this country's law enforcement for success under extreme pressure. His dedication to his craft lead him to instruct at one of the US Army's premiere sniper schools for a few years before taking Rev-Tac full-time in 2015. JT loves teaching long-range precision, carbine classes and defensive pistol. He wants people to know that gunfighting isn't the only tool you should have in your tactical toolbox though! Check out all the other classes that we have also!

He’s also a NRA certified instructor and loves teaching our civilian classes as much as our agency classes! Come learn a thing or two from this guy!

Jack Carda
RTTI Operator
Lead BJJ Instructor
Jack Carda has spent over 20 years on the mat, and it shows. A jiu jitsu black belt and decorated competitor, Jack won the American Grappling Federation's No Gi National Championships in the 175+ pound pro division and earned bronze medals in both his weight class and the open weight division at the IBJJF Masters World Championships. Before that, he served as Team Captain of the NCAA Division I Air Force Academy Wrestling Team, a role that set the tone for everything that followed.
But Jack's most lasting impact has come from coaching. It started in high school, coaching youth wrestlers. After graduating from the Academy, he developed high school wrestlers into state placers, state champions, and collegiate athletes. During a deployment to the Middle East, he ran the base's jiu jitsu program for six months. For Jack, the mat has never been just a place to compete. It's where he watches other people find out what they're capable of.
Jack served for over ten years on active duty in the Air Force and continues to serve in the Air National Guard. Off the mat, he is a full-time real estate professional living in Vermillion, SD, with his wife and three kids.
