This dynamic and engaging course is designed for youth ages 5 to 17 who are interested in learning essential defensive tactics for personal safety and conflict resolution. Kids will be introduced to fundamental concepts of self-defense, including awareness and avoidance.

We start with a discussion about unavoidable human behaviors...what to look for and how to realize something is weird instead of being surprised. Awareness is vital to avoiding the threat.

Then we jump right into how attacks are set up, and go down. By understanding this, we can teach effective ways to counter most of these common attacks.

Kids will learn practical skills such as:

• Basic stances and movements to enhance balance and agility.
• Key defensive maneuvers to evade grabs and attacks.
• Techniques for safely escaping common holds.
• Strategies for recognizing and responding to a dangerous situation.

This course emphasizes mental preparedness and the development of confidence, enableing kids to make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.

You won’t leave here as ninja masters, but science has shown that you’ll fall back on your lowest level of training under extreme stress- so let’s raise that bar in order to improve the outcome!
